Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia had failed to feed the people of the country.

He made this comment at the opening ceremony of Livestock Services Week and Exhibition on Thursday (April 18).

Sheikh Hasina said, “Khaleda Zia said – she will feed the people of the country with Dalbhat.” That Dalbhat also failed to eat.

The Prime Minister said, when I formed the government in 1996, there was not much reserve money. There was a food shortage in Asia. Our goal was to not touch anyone. I will grow my own crops.
He said, if the father of the nation was alive, Bangladesh would have developed much earlier. But those who came to power repeatedly by illegally violating the constitution, did not take any steps to change the fate of the people of this country – this is unfortunate.

Sheikh Hasina said, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib always said – we will not ask anyone for alms. Because the nation of beggars has no honor. We want to stand tall in the world with dignity. We have taken steps to move the country forward in that ideal.
