The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rain/thunder with temporary gusty winds in most places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions.

Shahnaz Sultana, a meteorologist of the Meteorological Department, said this in the weather forecast for the next 72 hours from 6 pm on Tuesday (July 2).

At the same time, moderate to very heavy rains may occur in some parts of the country, according to the forecast. Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.

Wind speed in Dhaka is 10-15 kmph, blowing from south/south-west direction. The relative humidity of the air in Dhaka at 6 pm today was 93 percent. Sunrise in Dhaka tomorrow (July 3) will be at 5:16 am.

In the last 24 hours, Khagrachari has received the highest rainfall of 208 mm in the country. The minimum temperature was 23.7 °C in Bandarban and the maximum temperature was 34.2 °C in Bhola.

According to synoptic conditions, the monsoon axis extends over Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and central Bangladesh to Assam. An extension of it extends to the northern Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and strong over North Bay of Bengal.
