Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the death of the country’s President Ibrahim Raisi.
“We come from Allah and to Him we shall return,” he said in a statement on Iranian state television. The country has lost a sincere and valuable servant. Reuters news.

Khamenei said, “It is with great sadness and regret that I have received the bitter news of the martyrdom of our devoted (religious) scholar, popular president, servant of Imam Reza (a.s.) Ibrahim Raisi and his companions. May Allah bless them and grant them peace.

He said that he was working as a servant of the nation when this unfortunate incident took place. Raisi was a noble man who in his short tenure as President has done his utmost to serve the people, the country and Islam. To him the welfare and satisfaction of the people was above all else.

It should be noted that the helicopter crashed on Sunday (May 19) near Zolfa area of ​​East Azerbaijan province of Iran. Iran’s President Ibrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and some senior officials of the country were in the helicopter. In this incident, the president of Iran, the foreign minister and all the passengers were killed.
