Bangladesh National Parliament Speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is associated with all the initiatives of the National Parliament. The Prime Minister is the sponsor of all developments in the National Parliament.

The chief guest spoke at the opening ceremony of the Bangladesh Parliament Officers Club at the Parliament LD Hall of Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan on Tuesday (April 23).

Under the chairmanship of KM Abdus Salam, senior secretary of the Bangladesh National Parliament Secretariat and convener of the club management committee and moderated by Tariq Mahmud, joint secretary of the National Parliament Secretariat, member secretary and joint secretary of the Parliament Officers Club AKMG Kibria Majumder gave a welcome speech on the occasion. Chief Whip Noor-e-Alam Chowdhury spoke as a special guest on the occasion.

The Speaker said that the Parliament Officers Club is open to all. Members of this club can organize special day-based events, pitha-parban, fairs, tree plantations, fun and entertainment events with family members.

The Speaker also said that the Parliament Officers Club will be given full cooperation from the National Assembly. The activities of Parliament Officers Club will move forward by involving everyone.

Chief Whip Noor-e-Alam Chowdhury said there is a need for clubs for secretariat officers like Parliament Members Club.
