The Meteorological Department has said that rain/thunder with gusty winds may occur temporarily during the night in four parts of the country including the capital Dhaka.

This information was given in a notification issued by the Meteorological Department on Thursday (May 30).

According to the notification, some places of Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and one or two places of Dhaka and Chittagong divisions may experience temporary rain/thunder with gusty winds during the night. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky.

Day and night temperatures may decrease slightly in northern districts of the country and increase slightly in other parts of the country.

According to weather synoptic conditions, the extension of western low pressure is extending from West Bengal to Northwest Bay of Bengal. Southwest Monsoon has advanced up to Teknaf coast. Conditions are favorable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon.
