Due to the ongoing situation surrounding the anti-quota movement, public and private offices have been declared a three-day general holiday from tomorrow Monday.
Public Administration Minister Farhad Hossain confirmed this information on Sunday (August 4) afternoon.
He said that this general holiday has been declared due to the curfew announced by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
He said that public and private offices have been declared public holidays tomorrow from Monday to Wednesday.
Earlier, the government has imposed an indefinite curfew from 6 pm on Sunday (August 4) in view of the violence surrounding the ongoing anti-discrimination student movement. This information was informed in a press release of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
It has been said that evening law has been enforced in all the divisional cities, city corporations, municipalities, industrial areas, district headquarters and upazila headquarters, including Dhaka metropolis, from 6 pm until further notice.
