Alif Mahmud Adeeb, who went on foot from Bangladesh to perform Hajj, has walked more than a thousand kilometers in the desert of Saudi Arabia. Currently he is located between Taif and Makkah. And only thirty kilometers away is the Kaaba of his dreams.

Young Adeeb started walking from Nangalkot in Comilla to Saudi Arabia about nine months ago with the desire to perform the holy Hajj as the first step to travel the six continents of the world on foot and to complete the world tour on foot. He has already walked more than seven thousand kilometers making the impossible possible. India, Pakistan, Iran, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia have passed through cities, towns, ports, rural towns, mountains, deserts. In every country, he has been soaked in the love of the local people, he has received the support of the local police and administration.

Alif Mahmud Adeeb’s primary route of entry into Saudi Arabia was through Iraq and Kuwait. But due to military unrest in the desert and the uncertainty of obtaining a visa, he was forced to cross the short Panipat ferry from Iran’s Bandar Abbas to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. While walking up to fifty kilometers every day along the highway of the Arab country, working Bangladeshi expatriates rushed to catch a glimpse of him, to hold him in selfies, to give him a little bit of food. They have delivered Adib’s shoulder bag from one petrol pump to another over hundreds of thousands of kilometers.

In an eventful trip, the hijacker was met on the ground of Iran. Courtesy meetings were also held with the ambassadors in charge at both Bangladesh embassies in Abu Dhabi and Riyadh. In the middle of Riyadh-Makkah, under the influence of a terrible desert storm, the unusually brave Adib survived by sheltering in a cave, and prevented the attack of ferocious dogs in the desert.

Alif Mahmood has millions of fans and followers from different countries of the world including India and Pakistan through social media. At their request he often came live while walking from one end to the other. If everything goes well, it is expected that Adib will set foot in the holy city of Mecca tomorrow.

A person who carried her for nine months is rushing to Makkah from Bangladesh to fill his historic mission of nine months with joy. Adib’s mother is now in Saudi Arabia to take the child. After Alif reached Makkah, the mother and son will perform the holy Umrah together in Ramadan.
