The intense heatwave will continue for a few more days

Severe heat wave is blowing in most districts of the country. People crushed in unbearable heat. Although the temperature is slightly lower, the discomfort is felt more due to the excess of water vapor in the air. There is no easy way out of this situation. The ongoing heatwave will continue for the next few days, the Meteorological Department said.

The highest temperature in the country was recorded in Chuadanga on Sunday (April 21). However, it is 0.4 degrees Celsius lower than the previous day, Saturday. The temperature of the capital Dhaka has also dropped a little today.

Meteorologist Md. Shahinul Islam informed this information.

He said that the maximum temperature recorded today was 42.2 degrees Celsius in Chuadanga. 42.6 degrees Celsius was recorded there yesterday. Dhaka recorded a temperature of 38.2 degrees Celsius today. Yesterday was 40.4 degrees Celsius.
The meteorologist said that the temperature has decreased slightly due to the wind. But the heatwave is unlikely to subside. The ongoing heatwave will continue for the next few days.

According to the Meteorological Office, very intense heat waves are flowing in Pabna, Jessore and Chuadanga districts. Intense heat wave is flowing over the rest of Khulna division including Rajshahi district and Dhaka division. Mild to moderate heat wave is prevailing over Barisal division and remainder of Rajshahi division including Mymensingh, Moulvibazar, Feni, Cox’s Bazar, Chandpur and Rangamati districts and may continue.

Temperature in Rangpur division may increase by 1 to 2 degree Celsius in next 24 hours and elsewhere it may remain almost unchanged. Night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country. Excess water vapor may cause discomfort.

Besides, according to the weather forecast, rain/thunderstorm with gusty winds may occur temporarily in two places of Mymensingh, Sylhet and Chittagong divisions in the next 24 hours. Along with that, there may be scattered rain of hail at some places. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will be mainly dry with partly cloudy skies.
