Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina called on the world leaders to stop the ongoing Russia-Ukraine, Israel-Iran-Palestine war. He said, I know the horrors of war. Bangladesh does not want any war. Any problem can be solved through discussion.

He made this call at the conference of the United Nations Social and Economic Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNSCAP) in Bangkok, Thailand, on Thursday (April 25) morning.

Sheikh Hasina said, war can never give any solution. It must stop. People of all ages, including women and children, are victims of it and are giving their lives. World leaders should take initiatives to end war by looking at those who are still suffering in various ways because of war.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that Rohingya fled to Bangladesh after the conflict started in Myanmar. They have also been given asylum on humanitarian grounds. It is a unique example of humanity in the whole world. However, the repatriation of Rohingya is now delayed. They should be sent back with respect. A suitable environment should be created for this in Myanmar. ASEAN should seriously consider this matter.

Apart from this, Sheikh Hasina also urged ASEAN to play a role in dealing with the Rohingya crisis and controlling the internal conflict in Myanmar.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in the country on a 6-day state visit on Wednesday at the invitation of Thai Prime Minister Sretha Thavisin.
