Crime and Intelligence Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 22 people in anti-drug operations in different areas of the capital. It is reported that they have been arrested on charges of selling and consuming drugs.

From 6 am on Sunday (April 28) to 6 am on Monday (April 29) they were arrested along with the recovery of narcotics by raiding various police stations in the capital.

Crime and Intelligence Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said that 2141 pieces of yaba, 11 grams of 20 puria heroin, 15 kg of 700 grams of ganja, 105 bottles of phensidyl and 15 narcotic injections were recovered from them.

It is reported that this operation has been conducted as part of the regular anti-narcotics operation of the DMP. It is also reported that 18 cases have been filed against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act in the concerned police station.
