The moon of the holy month of Ramadan has been sighted in Saudi Arabia. As a result, the glorious month of Ramadan will begin in the country from Monday (March 11).

On Sunday (March 10) this information was informed in a report of Gulf News of the United Arab Emirates.

According to the report, the search for the moon officially started at 5:30 pm local time in the country. At this time, apart from the naked eye, sophisticated telescopes are also used to see the moon. Moon sighting was reported around 6:10 PM.

A few hours earlier, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia and Brunei announced the date of Ramadan. All four countries have announced that fasting will begin from Tuesday (March 12).

The Federal Council of Imams of Australia, the Australian Fatwa Council and the Fatwa and Sharia Arbitration Council, together with the country’s Grand Mufti confirmed that Monday (March 11) will be the last day of the month of Sha’ban. Accordingly, next Tuesday will be the first day of Ramadan.
