Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent exam results 2024 have been released. Analysis of the results shows that girls are ahead of boys in pass rate and GPA five.
Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury Naufel gave details of the results in a press conference at the Secretariat of the Ministry of Education on Sunday (May 12).

He said that this year, the total number of female students (59 thousand 47) have passed more than the total number of students who have passed in all the education boards combined. Besides, female students got 15 thousand 423 GPA-5 more than male students.
According to the results, the pass rate in Dhaka Board is 83.92 percent, Barisal 89.13 percent, Chittagong 82.80 percent, Comilla 79.23 percent, Dinajpur 78.40 percent, Rajshahi 89.26 percent, Sylhet 73.04 percent, Mymensingh. 84.97 percent and 92.32 percent in Jessore. And the pass rate in madrasa board is 79.66 percent and the pass rate in technical is 81.38 percent.
There were 16 lakh 6 thousand 394 candidates in nine general education boards. Among them, 13 lakh 45 thousand 678 passed. One lakh 63 thousand 845 students got total GPA-5.

There were 284 thousand 665 candidates who appeared under Madrasa Board. Out of this 2 lakh 26 thousand 754 students have passed. 14 thousand 206 people got GPA-5.

The total number of technical board candidates was one lakh 22 thousand 538. Among them 99 thousand 721 students have passed. 4 thousand 78 people got GPA-5.
