Crime and Intelligence Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 27 people in anti-narcotics operation in different areas of the capital. It is reported that they have been arrested on charges of selling and consuming drugs.

From Tuesday (May 14) to six in the morning on Wednesday (May 15), raids were conducted in various police stations of the capital and they were arrested along with the recovery of drugs.

Crime and Intelligence Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said that 529 pieces of yaba, 20 grams of heroin, 3 kg of 550 grams of ganja and 100 bottles of Phencidil were recovered from them.

It is reported that this operation has been conducted as part of the regular anti-narcotics operation of the DMP. It is also reported that 23 cases have been registered against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
