British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has announced early elections in the UK by dissolving Parliament. Although the country is scheduled to hold general elections in January 2025, Sunak has announced the election date on July 4 this year.
The announcement came from Prime Minister’s official residence No. 10 Downing Street in the afternoon local time.

Media BBC reported that Prime Minister Rishi Sunak informed the ministers about this before announcing the election date. After discussing with them, he decided to dissolve the parliament next week. He visited King Charles III before meeting with ministers. There he asked the permission of the king to dissolve the parliament and organize new elections. After King Charles gave permission, he announced it publicly.
Rishi Sunak’s party Conservative Party has been in power for the last 14 years. But at the moment their public support is at rock bottom. It is believed that the Labor Party will return to Britain through the July 4 election.

Sunak announced the early elections and highlighted the various achievements of his government. He also assured the voters that if he is voted as the Prime Minister, he will work for the development of Britain.

Meanwhile, Keir Starmer, the leader of the Labor Party, has a strong chance of becoming the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom through new elections.
