Government employees can get 6 consecutive days off on upcoming holy Eid-ul-Fitr. If not 6 days, at least 5 days will be given to government officials-employees.

According to sources from the Ministry of Public Administration, there is a general holiday on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr. And the day before and after Eid is kept as a public holiday by executive order.

If the month of Ramadan is 30 days, then Eid-ul-Fitr will be on April 11 (Thursday). And the government has fixed the date of Eid-ul-Fitr on April 11 and listed the holidays.

Accordingly, Eid-ul-Fitr public holiday has been fixed on April 10, 11, 12 (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday). The next day is April 13 (Saturday) weekend. The next day is April 14 (Sunday) New Year holiday. As such, government employees can enjoy at least 5 days of leave this Eid.

However, if April 9 (Tuesday) is declared as a holiday by the Prime Minister’s executive order for 29 Ramadan, government employees will be able to enjoy six consecutive days off.

Last March 11 (Monday), the moon of the holy month of Ramadan was seen in the sky of Bangladesh. The next day, the fast started from March 12.
