Jack Fraser McGurk, the fastest centurion in cricket, made his international debut for Australia’s ODI team last month. This batsman, who was called up due to his excellent performance in domestic cricket, has played two ODIs. However, he is yet to make his T20 international debut. However, this Auji cricketer, who showed his ability in the last Big Bash, has now been invited to the Indian Premier League.
He was taken by Rishabh Pant’s team Delhi Capitals. Australian legend Ricky Ponting is the head coach of the franchise. A few days ago, he also praised the 21-year-old McGurk. Now Ponting gave him the opportunity to play in IPL under him. Due to his aggressive mentality and stormy batting, this young batsman has already earned the reputation of ‘New Maxwell’ in Australian cricket.

He got the call-up in Delhi mainly due to South African pacer Lungi Ngidi being ruled out due to injury. McGurk is a complete batter though. Also he spins erratically. Delhi have roped in Fraser-McGurk at a base price of Rs 50 lakh. Ngidi suffered a back injury in the last season of South Africa’s Franchise League SA20. The injury is undergoing rehabilitation, he is yet to recover from the upcoming IPL.
