Salman-Anisul remanded for 10 days

The court has granted a 10-day remand to former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s private industry and investment adviser Salman F Rahman and former law minister Anisul Haque, who were arrested in a murder case at the capital’s Newmarket police station.

Police produced them in court on Wednesday (August 14) evening. After that, for the sake of proper investigation of the case, they applied for a ten-day remand. After the hearing, the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mamunur Rashid gave this order.
At that time, BNP and Jamaat Panthi lawyers kept chanting slogans in the court area. They demanded the trial of these two high-ranking people of the Awami League government. Eggs are thrown at them.

Earlier, police, army and BGB members were stationed from 5 pm to provide security in the CMM court area.
Anisul Haque and Salman F Rahman have been in DB custody since their arrest on Tuesday (August 13) night. They were arrested in a case filed at Newmarket police station in the capital.

After the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government on August 5, the top leaders and ministers of the Awami League gave cover. In addition, former foreign minister Dr. Shahjalal Airport in Dhaka. Hasan Mahmud and ICT State Minister Junaid Ahmed Palak were detained.
