The United Nations will soon begin an investigation into the killing of student protesters during the quota reform movement, said Volker Turk, head of the organization’s human rights affairs.
A press release from Chief Adviser’s Press Wing quoted Volker Turk as saying that a UN-led inquiry will be launched soon to investigate the killing of protesters during the student protests. A team of UN experts will soon visit Bangladesh to begin an investigation.
