7 crore 22 lakh 13 thousand 46 rupees have been found in the historic Pagla mosque on the banks of Narsunda river in Kishoreganj city.

3,500 people received this amount of money by counting 11 consecutive hours from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm on Saturday (August 17). Apart from this, a large amount of gold ornaments and foreign currency were found.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) of Kishoreganj district Kazi Mahua Mumtaz confirmed the matter.

9 donation boxes were opened in the presence of Brigadier General Tariqul Islam, District Administrator and Chairman of Pagla Mosque Management Committee Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad and Superintendent of Police Mohammad Russell Sheikh at 8:30 am. Later, the money was counted on the second floor of the mosque complex.
Earlier, 9 donation boxes of Pagla Masjid were opened last on April 20. At that time a record 7 crore 78 lakh 67 thousand 537 taka was obtained. Which broke all previous records and created new records. A team of 220 people participated in the counting of money for 18 and a half hours. A large amount of foreign currency and gold ornaments are also available in the donation box.
