US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Donald Lu will visit India and Bangladesh.
During the visit to Dhaka, the US high-level delegation will discuss how Bangladesh can be supported in economic growth, financial stability and development.

On Tuesday (September 10), the Office of the Spokesperson of the US State Department announced this information in a press release.
According to the press release, US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Donald Lu will visit India and Bangladesh on September 10-16. During his visit, Lu will reiterate the US commitment to help partners promote economic growth and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.

The notification also said that Lu will go to Delhi, India. Where she will highlight Washington’s contribution to promoting US-India cooperation in promoting development, security and women’s financial security, hosted by the US-India Business Council.
In addition, the US Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Jedidiah P. for Indo-Pacific Security Affairs. Royal and will co-chair the eighth US-India 2+2 Intersessional Dialogue alongside counterparts from the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Ministry of Defence.
The dialogue will identify opportunities to enhance the US-India bilateral partnership, including defense cooperation, as well as expand US-India cooperation in the Indo-Pacific and beyond.
According to the notification about Lu’s visit to Dhaka, Lu will attend a meeting with the stakeholders of the interim government along with a high-level delegation in Dhaka.
The delegation will include representatives from the US Department of the Treasury, USAID and the Office of the US Trade Representative.
The US delegation will discuss with the officials how to help Bangladesh in economic growth, financial stability and development.
