Crime and Intelligence Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 22 people in anti-drug operations in different areas of the capital. It is reported that they have been arrested on charges of selling and consuming drugs.

From Wednesday (March 13) to Thursday (March 14) at six in the morning, raids were conducted in different police station areas of the capital and they were arrested along with the recovery of narcotics.

Crime and Intelligence Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said that 471 pieces of yaba, 184 grams of 99 pure heroin, 40 kg of 300 grams of ganja and 40 pieces of tapentadol tablets were recovered from them.

It is reported that this operation has been conducted as part of the regular anti-narcotics operation of the DMP. It is also reported that 16 cases have been registered under the Narcotics Control Act at the concerned police stations against the arrested persons.
