To commemorate the death anniversary of Kazi Nazrul Islam on August 29, a special drama titled ‘Phulbabu’ has been produced. Based on Nazrul’s short story ‘Jiner Badsha,’ the drama was directed by Shuvro Ahmed and filmed in Purbachal, Dhaka.

Ashiq and Polly in Lead Roles
Popular actor Ashiq Chowdhury takes on the title role of Phulbabu, while Polly Chowdhury, a recent graduate from Chittagong University’s Theatre Arts department, plays Chanbanu. This marks Polly’s first performance in a story by Kazi Nazrul Islam.
