Bail of 42 HSC candidates in Dhaka

The court has granted bail to 42 HSC examinees who were arrested in the case of violence in connection with the anti-discrimination student movement in Dhaka.

The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Rashidul Alam gave this order on Friday (August 2).

Defendant’s lawyer. Saidul Islam confirmed this to the media.
Among those granted bail are- Ali Hossain, Ismail Talukder, Imran Hossain, Abdul Quader, Nafiz, Yamin Sheikh, Asif Khan, Abdus Samad, Elahi Bux, Sameer Hossain, Tanzil Hasan, Alauddin, Apu, Faisal Ahmed Samiul Alam, Shakhawat Hossain, Rani Sheikh, Imran Ahmed Afsar, Samrat Khalifa, Rashidul Islam Tuha, Masood Parvez, Asif, Al Amin, Raihan Islam, Shakeel Ahmed, Jaber Hussain, Ruhul Amin, Rahat Ubaidullah, Zaki, Tuhin, Nahid Ahmed, Masud Rana, Shariful Islam, Shihab Hossain, Tasrif Sapna, Chowad ur Rahman.

Earlier in the afternoon, a press release from the Ministry of Law informed that the bail hearing of the HSC examinee who was arrested in the case of the ongoing violence or sabotage related to the quota reform movement will be held at the Dhaka CMM Court at around 3:30 pm today.

If there are any ongoing HSC exam candidates among those detained in the recent violent incident on Thursday (1 August) night, the government will provide legal assistance to release them on bail if they apply for bail along with the exam admit card and relevant documents, the Ministry of Home Affairs said.
