The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has informed that class activities will continue in government primary schools from April 28, 2024. This information was given in a statement signed by Mahbubur Rahman Tuhin, Senior Information Officer, Ministry of Primary and Mass Education today.
Pre-primary classes will remain closed until further notice, the statement said. The assembly will remain closed until the temperature is brought down to a tolerable level.
Schools operating in one shift will run from 8 am to 11:30 am daily. Schools running in two shifts, the 1st shift will run from 8:00 am to 9:30 am and the second shift will run from 10:15 (9.45) to 11:30 am.
It is said that these decisions have been taken regarding the initiation of class activities in government primary schools, primary schools run by the Shishu Kalyan Trust and learning centers of the non-formal education bureau, considering the health risks of young children due to the ongoing heatwave.
