A team of intelligence department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police has arrested Awami League’s central joint secretary and former minister Dipu Moni from Baridhara area of ​​the capital.

He was arrested on Monday (August 19) evening in the case of vandalizing, looting and burning the BNP leader’s house and office in Chandpur.
Confirming the matter, a senior DB official said, Dipu Moni is being taken to the DB office on Minto Road.

On August 15, the case was filed at the Chandpur Model Police Station by the son of Kalu Hauladar, the joint convener of Paur Jubodal and a resident of Bagadi Road Hauladar’s house in the city. Razzaq Howladar.
According to the details of the case, on July 18 at 8 pm and on August 4, the former social welfare minister Dr. Dipu Moni and his elder brother Dr. Under the direct orders of JR Wadud Tipu, a group of 1,000 to 1200 people attacked and vandalized the house of District BNP president Sheikh Farid Ahmed Manik on JM Sengupta Road named Monira Bhawan. Later they set fire to the building and looted the valuables.
