Israel launched an airstrike on Al-Aqsa Hospital in Gaza. It has been reported that 55 people died till the last news. Many are injured and receiving treatment at the hospital.

Qatar-based media Al Jazeera reported this information on Saturday (June 8).

The media quoted Al-Aqsa Hospital spokesman Khalil Al-Degran as saying that 55 people were killed in the Israeli attack. Hundreds of injured people are coming to the hospital.

The director of the Kuwait Specialty Hospital in Rafah city said that many bodies of people killed by Israeli forces are lying on the streets. The rescue workers could not reach the injured yet.

Tania Haj-Hassan, a doctor with Doctors Without Borders (MSF), said Al-Aqsa Hospital does not have the capacity to function as the main hospital in Gaza. Gaza’s health system has completely collapsed, he told Al Jazeera. Every other hospital was destroyed by Israeli forces.

Talking about the chaotic situation in Al-Aqsa Hospital, he said, the picture my colleagues are reporting from there is in one word ‘terrible’.

It should be noted that since October 7, the number of people killed in Gaza has increased to 36 thousand 801 in the attack by the Palestinian-led Israel. 83 thousand 680 Palestinians were injured. Most of the casualties were women and children.
