A Star-Studded Year for Kriti Sanon
Bollywood star Kriti Sanon has made headlines this year not only for her series of blockbuster films but also for stepping into a producer’s role. Her production debut is set for a fall release.

Transitioning from Actor to Producer
As Variety reported, Sanon is joining forces with Kajol in Netflix’s new mystery thriller, “Do Patti”. This film marks her debut as a producer, a venture co-created with acclaimed writer Kanika Dhillon. Known for her standout performance in the 2021 comedy-drama “Mimi”, Sanon has expressed her desire to expand her role in the film industry beyond acting. “It was the right time for me to find something,” Sanon shared, reflecting on her deep dive into content that resonates personally and professionally.

Seeking Depth in Roles
Sanon’s collaboration with Dhillon, noted for films like “Husband Material” and “Haseen Dillruba”, came from a shared vision that brought her idea to life, leading to an enriching and creative production experience. “Do Patti”, directed by Shashanka Chaturvedi, is currently in post-production and will be available on Netflix this fall.

Diverse Career and Recent Hits
From her engineering background to a successful modeling and acting career, Sanon has been a versatile presence in Bollywood since her debut in 2014. Her recent works include the sci-fi rom-com “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya”, and the heist comedy “Crew”, both of which have been major successes.

Plans and Aspirations
With upcoming sequels for “Bhediya” and “Crew” and her ongoing script evaluations, Sanon remains selective, seeking roles that challenge her creatively. “I really want to do something only when I love, love, love it,” she explains, indicating her commitment to quality and innovation in her future projects.
