This July, Microsoft will unveil its brand-new web-based mobile game store, offering direct access to its popular games and exclusive discounts on add-ons and in-app purchases.

Xbox President Sarah Bond announced at the Bloomberg Technology Summit that the store aims to break barriers by being universally accessible, circumventing the limitations of traditional app ecosystems.

A Universal Gaming Hub
The innovative web-based format of Microsoft’s mobile game store is designed to ensure that everyone, regardless of their device or location, can enjoy its offerings without being confined to any single platform. This strategic move allows users to access the store from any web browser, making Microsoft’s gaming world more inclusive than ever.

Exclusive Titles and Lucrative Deals
Initially, the store will feature Microsoft-owned games, prominently including those from Activision Blizzard, acquired in a monumental $70 billion deal. Gamers can look forward to downloading beloved games like Candy Crush Saga, which has impressively amassed $20 billion in revenue since 2012, and various Call of Duty mobile games. Additionally, Minecraft is also expected to be one of the inaugural offerings when the store launches.
