A mother and son were killed in a collision between a truck and a CNG-driven auto-rickshaw when they came to visit Sada Pathar in Companyganj, Sylhet. Two people were injured in this incident.

The accident happened on Sunday (June 30) around 4 pm at a place called Khagail in Salutikar area of ​​Sylhet-Kompaniganj road.

The two people killed in this incident are Smriti Akhtar (25), wife of Delwar Hossain of Kamargao village of Sadar police station of Narsingdi district and her 7-year-old son Abdullah.

One of the two injured is Delwar Hossain (28), son of Shahid Mia of Kamargao village of Sadar police station in Narsingdi district. Another auto-rickshaw (CNG) driver but his name-address was not available.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Companyganj police station Golam Dastgir confirmed the matter.

He said that Delwar Hossain and his wife and children went to visit Sadapathar in Companyganj. On the way back, the autorickshaw (CNG) collided with the reverse truck leaving from Sylhet. Mother and son died on the spot. Two injured

Companyganj Upazila Health Complex is under treatment. Trucks and autorickshaws are being seized and taken to the police station.
