The police headquarters has directed the field level officers to take necessary measures to prevent the increase in commodity prices in view of the holy Ramadan.

Additional IGP (Crime and Operations) at police headquarters on Monday (March 11) afternoon. Atiqul Islam presided over the crime review meeting of January this directive was given. Police Headquarters AIG (Media) Inamul Haque Sagar confirmed the matter.
Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Range DIG and District Superintendent of Police participated in the meeting held on virtual platform. DIG (Operations) at the police headquarters. Anwar Hossain, DIG (Crime Management) Jaydev Kumar Bhadra and other concerned officials were present.
Additional IGP Atiqul Islam, emphasizing on the suppression of juvenile crime, said that necessary measures should be taken to eliminate juvenile gangs before they are formed in any area. Besides, he ordered to strengthen the operation of recovery of lost mobile sets and to increase patrolling to prevent mobile set robbery/theft.

In the meeting, emphasis was placed on taking special measures to prevent road accidents on regional roads, proactive policing to prevent non-death cases. The meeting discussed overall crime review for the month of January, arrest warrants issued, case investigation and trial results, conviction rate and recent important events etc.
