Pension scheme is mandatory only after entering government service

Joining the public pension scheme is being made mandatory for those joining the government service on or after July 1. All of them will be included in the ‘Prayya’ scheme.
All autonomous, autonomous, state-owned, statutory or homogeneous bodies and officers and employees of their subordinate bodies (new additions) will be part of this process.

This information was informed in a press release sent by the Ministry of Finance on Wednesday (March 20).
It is said in the notice that the S.R.O. issued by the government on March 13 of this month. Through Law No. 47/2024, all self-governing, autonomous, state-owned, statutory or homogenous organizations and their subordinate organ organizations who join the service of the officers or employees who will join on July 1 and thereafter are included in the universal pension management law.
