Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urged to produce new jute products and find new markets.
The jute industry, he says, was headed for ruin, which was not auspicious at all. Jute mills have been modernized. New opportunities have been created for jute and jute industry by inventing the mystery for jute. The production of new products should be increased and markets should be sought.

He said these things at a function organized on the occasion of ‘National Jute Day 2024’ at Bangabandhu International Conference Center today (Thursday).

The Prime Minister said that the golden scales are interfering with the golden days, they should be used properly. The opportunity to use jute as an eco-friendly product has increased. The government will give incentives to export products made from jute.

The head of government said that the resources of our country are very limited, jute is a product of our country. The father of the nation gave great importance to jute. Jute is one of our products whose demand will never end. Jute is called golden fiber, this golden fiber can contribute a lot to our economy. Jute is one such product that has been created due to climate change in the current era of eco-friendly products.

He also said that if we can use this domestic product properly, then jute can earn us a lot of foreign exchange. Can be better utilized in various domestic activities.

He said, I have already invented the secret of the birth of jute. As a result, we have a great opportunity to increase the production of jute products. The discovery increased the importance of jute. Keeping that in mind, we are taking steps today. Jute fiber and leather products are being produced together. I can export them abroad.

Stating that opportunities have increased as jute is environment-friendly, the head of government said, we are focusing on how to improve the jute industry. We focus on continuing research on one hand and producing better quality products from jute on the other. Our aim is to create various opportunities for those involved with jute.

The Prime Minister also said that as much as we can increase the production of jute products, it will open a big door in the field of export as well as domestic use. Aiming at that, we have to focus on finding new markets for jute, seeing what kind of product is in demand in any country, and producing that kind of product. Jute and versatile jute products can play that role in increasing our exports. That opportunity must be created.
