A terrible fire broke out in the bedding market next to the raw market in Sector 11 Uttara of the capital. 10 units of fire service are working to control the fire.

This incident happened around midnight on Monday (March 11).

The origin of the fire was not known till the last news. Besides, no casualty has been reported so far.

Fire Service Duty Officer Rakib Hasan confirmed the information about the fire. He said that after receiving the information about the fire, the firemen rushed to the spot and started the work of controlling the fire.

Witnesses said the fire broke out after midnight (2:10 am). There were grocery stores and other shops inside this raw market. Besides, there were a few furniture shops. Which are completely burnt. It also housed a textile shop and machinery.

The shopkeepers rushed there on the news of the fire. They risked their lives to try to retrieve the goods. But they could not find out much.

A shopkeeper said that he was sleeping at home during the night. Then someone informed him about the fire. Then he quickly rushed to the spot.

Another witness said that they first saw a small fire in the raw market. But it gets bigger in 10 to 15 minutes.
