Ahead of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, the price of gold has increased again in the country’s market. This time it has increased by 1 thousand 750 rupees. The price of good quality i.e. 22 carat gold will be 1 lakh 15 thousand 824 taka. The price of gold has never been so high in the country’s market.

Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) informed the information through a circular on Saturday (April 6).

This price will be effective from tomorrow Sunday (April 7).

According to the notification, the price of acidic gold (pure gold) has increased in the local market. As a result, the new price of gold has been fixed considering the overall situation.

According to the new price, 1 lakh 10 thousand 575 taka per load of 21 carat, 94 thousand 770 taka per load of 18 carat and 78 thousand 965 taka per load of traditional method have been fixed.

Earlier on March 21 last, Bajus had increased the price of one bar of 22 carat gold by Tk 2 thousand 916 to Tk 1 lakh 14 thousand 74. And the price of a 21 carat gold bar is 1 lakh 8 thousand 883 taka, 18 carat gold bar is 93 thousand 312 taka and the price of a traditional gold bar is 77 thousand 799 taka. Which came into effect from March 22.

Bajus adjusted gold price 6 times this year. And in 2023, the price was adjusted 29 times.
