The ruling party Awami League president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina wants to sit with the quota reform activists herself.

The Chief Minister said this in a meeting with the central leaders of the Professional Coordination Council at Ganabhaban today (Saturday).

The Prime Minister said, the door of the Ganobhaban is open. I want to sit with the quota agitators. I want to hear them. I don’t want conflict.

Meanwhile, Awami League has expressed its interest to hold talks with the coordinators of the anti-quota movement in an emergency meeting at Ganobhaban last night. The prime minister himself directed and assigned three leaders to sit with the coordinators of the movement. Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanak, member of Awami League presidium, joint general secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif and agriculturist AFM Bahauddin Nashim have been given the responsibility.

In the meeting, the Prime Minister gave instructions and said that they should be careful and tolerant towards the agitating common students. At the same time the team of three leaders will discuss with the agitators. Sheikh Hasina has instructed that the senior leaders of the 14-party alliance should also be included in this team.
