Crime and Intelligence Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 15 people in anti-narcotics operation in different areas of the capital. It is reported that they have been arrested on charges of selling and consuming drugs.
From Monday (April 08) to Tuesday (April 09) six in the morning, raids were carried out in various police stations of the capital and they were arrested along with the recovery of narcotics.
Crime and Intelligence Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said that 95 pieces of yaba, 67 kg of 400 grams of ganja, 53 grams of heroin, 35 bottles of Phensidil and 30 bottles of country liquor were recovered from them.
It is reported that this operation has been conducted as part of the regular anti-narcotics operation of the DMP. It is also reported that 12 cases have been filed under the Narcotics Control Act against the arrested persons.
