Crime and Intelligence Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 21 people in anti-drug operations in different areas of the capital. It is reported that they have been arrested on charges of selling and consuming drugs.
From Tuesday (April 30) to six in the morning on Wednesday (May 1), raids were conducted in different police stations of the capital and they were arrested along with the recovery of narcotics.
Crime and Intelligence Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said that 340 pieces of yaba, 155 grams of heroin, 33 kg of 700 grams of ganja and 100 bottles of Phensidil were recovered from them.
It is reported that this operation has been conducted as part of the regular anti-narcotics operation of the DMP. It is also reported that 13 cases have been registered against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act in the concerned police station.
