Crime and Intelligence Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 23 people in anti-drug operations in different areas of the capital. It is reported that they have been arrested on charges of selling and consuming drugs.
From Monday (March 11) six in the morning to Tuesday (March 12) six in the morning, raids were carried out in various police stations of the capital and they were arrested along with the recovery of narcotics.
Crime and Intelligence Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said that 924 pieces of yaba, 55 grams of heroin, 207 bottles of Phensidyl and 53 kg of 100 grams of ganja were recovered from them.
It is reported that this operation has been conducted as part of the regular anti-narcotics operation of the DMP. It is also reported that 14 cases have been filed against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act in the concerned police station.
