Dhaka Metropolitan Police Department (DMP) has arrested 39 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs during anti-drug operations in different areas of the capital.
During the arrest, 1 thousand 77 pieces of yaba, 38 kg 650 grams of ganja, 1 gram of heroin, 170 bottles of Phensidil and 5 bottles of foreign liquor were seized from them.
This information was informed by the media and public relations department of DMP on Monday (April 1) morning.
According to DMP, as part of DMP’s regular anti-narcotics operation, from 6 am on Sunday (March 31) to 6 am today, raids were conducted in different police stations of the capital and they were arrested along with the recovery of narcotics.
15 cases under the Narcotics Control Act have been registered against the arrested in the concerned police stations.
