In the last 24 hours, various crime and intelligence departments of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 40 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs in different areas of the capital.
This information was informed in a press release of DMP on Friday (March 29).
According to the notification, 462 pieces of yaba, 151 grams of heroin, 106 kg of 650 grams of ganja, 30 grams of ice and 116 bottles of Phensidil were recovered from them during the arrest.

As part of DMP’s regular anti-narcotics operation, they were arrested along with narcotics by raiding various police stations in the capital from 6 am on Thursday to 6 am on Friday.

24 cases under the Narcotics Control Act have been registered against the arrested in the concerned police station.
