Crime and Intelligence Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 43 people in anti-drug operations in different areas of the capital. It is reported that they have been arrested on charges of selling and consuming drugs.
From Tuesday (March 26) to six in the morning on Wednesday (March 27), raids were carried out in various police stations of the capital and they were arrested along with the recovery of narcotics.
Crime and Intelligence Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said that 951 pieces of yaba, 74.1 grams of heroin, 19 kg of 955 grams of ganja and 184 bottles of Phensidil were recovered from them.
It is reported that this operation has been conducted as part of the regular anti-narcotics operation of the DMP. It is also reported that 29 cases have been registered against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
