TPW Desk:The Meteorological Department has given a foretast of a storm with a maximum speed of 80 km per hour over seven regions of the country including Dhaka.

This information has been reported in the weather forecast for the inland river ports of the country till 1 pm on Sunday (April 7).

It said that temporary gusty or windy rain or thunder shower may occur over Khulna, Jashore, Kushtia, Satkhira, Madaripur, Faridpur and Dhaka regions from West or North-West direction at a speed of 60-80 km per hour.

In the forecast, the river ports in these areas have been asked to hoist naval warning signal number 2. Apart from this, stormy winds with rain and thundershower at a speed of 45-60 km per hour may blow temporarily over Rajshahi, Pabna, Sirajganj, Barisal, Mymensingh and Sylhet regions from west or north-west. The river ports in these areas have been asked to show naval warning signal number 1.
