He said that these agencies have explained to the ministry that they are not able to issue visas.

Meanwhile, as the bookings of Biman Bangladesh Airlines and Flynas Airlines are low, the ministry has urged them to increase the booking rate quickly. However, even if the booking rate is low, there is no possibility of cancellation of scheduled flights for Hajj passengers, he said.

So far more than 80,000 people have received visas from the government and private sector. There are still 4 thousand 800 people left. So far more than 26,000 pilgrims have reached Saudi Arabia, Hajj Office said.

But even though the official Hajj pilgrims’ visas have been issued, many of the 259 private Hajj agencies have not completed the visa process within this extended period, so the second phase of the period has been extended to May 11. However, Saudi Arabia has kept the application server open without increasing the new visa application period.

According to Dhaka Hajj Office sources, this year 85 thousand 117 people will go to Saudi Arabia for Hajj with guides under government and private management. Among them, 4 thousand 323 people are under government management. And 78 thousand 895 people in private management.
