There has been a surprise attack on journalists at the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (FDC). It is claimed that more than a hundred journalists were injured in this incident.

The incident started around 6 pm on Tuesday (23 April).

It is not yet clear who carried out the attack. Misha Saudagar, the newly elected president of Shilpi Samiti, is trying to normalize the situation.

It is known that the newly elected committee of Shilpi Samiti for 2024-26 took oath this afternoon. Chief Election Commissioner Khorshed Alam Khosru first administered the oath to the president of the association, Misha Saudagar. After that the rest of the members took oath under the leadership of Misha Saudagar.

The Misha-Dipjal Parishad won the elections for the 2024-26 term of Shilpi Samiti. Misha Saudagar got 265 votes for the post of president and the nearest candidate Mahmud Koli got 170 votes.

Manwar Hossain Dipzal got 225 votes for the post of general editor, Nipun Aktar got 209 votes for the same post.
