Three European countries have announced economic sanctions against Iran over its alleged supply of short-range missiles to Russia. Iran strongly condemned it.
Qatar-based television channel Al Jazeera and Iran’s news agency IRNA reported this on Wednesday (September 11). The UK, France and Germany announced economic sanctions against Iran for allegedly supplying Russia with short-range missiles.
The three countries allege that short-range missile deliveries to Russia will be used against Ukraine.

However, denying this accusation, Iran said that Russia has not yet been supplied with short-range missiles.
Iran has expressed strong anger at the announcement of economic sanctions. Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kannan called economic sanctions against Iran as “economic terrorism”.
Earlier on Sunday (September 8), Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman Nasser Kannayi said that Iran is not in favor of a war between Russia and Ukraine. Iran has repeatedly said this.
We want the problem between Ukraine and Russia to be resolved politically, not through war, Iran has said before and is still saying.
Highlighting their position in favor of supplying short-range missiles to Russia, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said that military cooperation between Iran and Russia has continued since before the Ukraine-Russia war. Based on that, Iran has supplied short-range missiles to Russia.
He criticized the West and said that the West’s accusations that Ukraine opposes the supply of missiles to Russia are not true. This is totally baseless.
