DJ Alan Walker, famous for his global hit “Faded,” and Bollywood composer Pritam are teaming up for their first-ever collaboration, “Children of the Sun.” Set to release through Warner Music India, the track blends Eastern and Western influences and features vocals from Vishal Mishra, creating a powerful fusion of musical styles.

The Artists Behind the Magic
Alan Walker is one of electronic music’s most successful producers, with several chart-topping hits. His accolades include the Spellemannprisen (the Norwegian Grammy), the Cannes Lions, and Best Norwegian Act at the MTV European Music Awards. On the other hand, Pritam is a legendary figure in Bollywood music, having composed for over 100 films, including blockbusters like “Dunki,” “Animal,” and “Brahmastra.”

How the Collaboration Came to Be
The partnership between Walker and Pritam began after they met in Mumbai during Walker’s 2019 tour. Inspired by the sounds and culture of India, Walker created a melody that caught Pritam’s attention, sparking the idea for the single. “Children of the Sun” is a blend of 80s synthwave, Walker’s signature electronic beats, and Pritam’s Bollywood flair, with lyrics focused on the symbolism of the sun and themes of human connection.

A Tribute to the Next Generation
The track, featuring a children’s choir, is described as a tribute to the next generation, aiming to inspire hope and unity. Walker expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating that the song brings together different sounds and languages. Pritam added that music has the power to heal and unite, and he hopes “Children of the Sun” will resonate globally.

Walker’s Upcoming India Tour
To coincide with the release, Walker will embark on a 10-city Walkerworld Tour by Sunburn across India, beginning in Kolkata on Sept. 27 and ending in Hyderabad on Oct. 20. The tour, expected to attract over 100,000 fans, is one of Walker’s largest performances in the country to date.
