During Ramadan, bank transactions will continue from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. There will be a break from 1:15 PM to 1:30 PM for Zohar prayer.
Bangladesh Bank issued a notification on March 5, setting the new schedule.
According to the notification, all scheduled banks in the country will be open from 9:30 am to 4 pm during the holy month of Ramadan. In between, there will be a break for Zohar prayer from 1:15 PM to 1:30 PM.
However, bank transactions can be continued during the prayer break through internal coordination, according to the notification. The notification informed that the office schedule will return to the previous state after the end of Ramadan.
Bank transactions usually take place from 10 am to 4 pm and official functions of the bank run from 10 am to 6 pm.
Note that the moon of the holy month of Ramadan was seen in the sky of Bangladesh on Monday (March 11). As a result, the holy month of Ramadan will begin on Tuesday (March 12). Religion Minister Faridul Haque Khan told reporters that the moon was seen around 7 pm on Monday.
At the same time, he wished the countrymen on Ramadan.
