A New K-Drama Adventure
BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is set to star in the upcoming K-drama “Newtopia,” a zombie thriller series slated for release in 2025 on Coupang Play. Jisoo will be joined by Park Jung-min as they portray a couple navigating a zombie-infested Seoul.
Plot and Characters
The story follows Lee Jae-yoon, played by Park Jung-min, who is serving mandatory military service when the zombie outbreak occurs. Jisoo plays Kang Young-ju, an engineer awaiting Jae-yoon’s return. The series depicts their struggle to reunite amidst the chaos, transforming from regular individuals into resilient survivors.
Production Team
“Newtopia” is directed by Yoon Sung-hyun, known for “Bleak Night” and “Time to Hunt.” The script is co-written by Han Jin-won, co-writer of “Parasite,” and Ji Ho-jin, known for “A Shop For Killers”
