The Alaska state trooper said the plane took off shortly before 10 a.m. local time and crashed near the Tanana River shortly after.

The state’s Department of Public Safety said the plane caught fire after it crashed on a steep hill by the river.

It has been reported that there is no possibility of anyone surviving the accident. Several pictures of the accident were found on social media where several trees were seen on fire. However, it was not possible to verify these pictures.

It is not yet certain what caused the accident. However, the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) said they will investigate the incident.
