Dhaka New Market area is bustling with sales ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr. As the time of Eid is approaching, people’s shopping in the market is increasing massively.
Since Friday (March 22) is a weekend holiday, the image of the capital’s New Market area is somewhat normal from morning to noon, but after the afternoon, Dhaka New Market and its surrounding areas have become a sea of people.

The area is buzzing with the presence of buyers and the shouts of sellers. On the surface, Dhaka New Market, Gauchia, Noorjahan, Badruddauja, Noor Mansion, Chandni Chowk, Eastern Mallika Complex, Green Monument, Subastu, Chandrima Super Market, Dhanmondi Hawkers Market, Elephant Road and its surrounding areas can be seen. Such a picture can be seen as Friday is a weekend day ahead of Eid.

Ignoring the rain and the fatigue of fasting, the shops are bustling with the presence of buyers and sellers of different ages from morning to night to do Eid shopping. The New Market and its surrounding areas are seen in such a picture.

The sellers said that there are twenty more days left for Eid, but the sale has started in full swing. They have seen a few customers since the beginning of fasting. They are hopeful that the sales will be more near Eid.

Anjuman Ara and his family came to buy sarees at Dhanmondi Hawkers Market. He said to Barta24.com, I think the hawkers market is the kingdom of sarees. All types of sarees are available in this market. Bought sarees for daughter and son’s wife. I see more. As always, the prices are higher during Eid, what’s new!
